The New England Startup Coalition is a private community of organizations working together to strengthen the startup ecosystem across New England.
Powered by Startup Boston, the Coalition brings together accelerators, incubators, universities, government partners, networking groups, community organizations and community builders across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
The goal is simple: create more opportunities for organizations to build meaningful partnerships, collaborate across state lines, learn from one another and share resources so we can work together as one connected startup ecosystem, not a collection of independent organizations.
Historically, Startup Boston has partnered with ecosystem organizations to help promote events, highlight valuable resources and amplify the work being done to support founders (and that work will not stop!).
The New England Startup Coalition is the next evolution of that effort.
We're continuing to spotlight the organizations helping entrepreneurs succeed, but we're also creating a dedicated space where those organizations can build relationships with one another through a private Slack workspace and quarterly in-person gatherings.
By staying connected year-round, Coalition members can exchange ideas, share opportunities, coordinate efforts, and ultimately create a stronger, more connected experience for founders across New England.
WHY THIS EXISTS
New England has no shortage of resources for startups.
The challenge is connection.
Founders often don’t know which organization to turn to, when to engage, or what resources make the most sense for their stage.
At the same time, many ecosystem organizations are solving similar challenges, serving overlapping communities, and looking for better ways to collaborate.
The Coalition exists to make the startup ecosystem easier to navigate, more connected, and more collaborative.
