Hello 2024 - startup event season is in full force this month. You have a smorgasbord of events to choose from. Everything from networking events to workshops to webinars to conferences and there’s likely an event that’s something in-between it all!

Entrepreneurship for Veterans

The U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting this informational session for military veterans who are interested in or are currently starting their own company. In this live workshop, they’ll go through how you can figure out if entrepreneurship is the right path for you. 


The Engine: How we Support "Tough Tech" Startups and Make Investments

Date: Wednesday, January 10th from 2:00pm - 3:30pm

The Engine, built by MIT, is a venture capital firm that invests into "Tough Tech" companies and that provides a variety of services and facilities to those companies and to the greater "tough tech" ecosystem. This session will cover the Engine's approach to investments and how they support companies.


2024 Rhode Island Food System Summit

Date: Wednesday, January 17th from 9:00am - 12:00pm

The University of Rhode Island is hosting the eighth annual Rhode Island Food System Summit. Join government, academic, business, and community partners as they discuss how we can employ innovative practices within their food system to support greater environmental stewardship.


Startup Boston’s Cofounder Matching

Date: Monday, January 22nd from 5:30pm - 7:00pm

This mixer was created to bring you one step closer to finding your future co-founder.

Join us for 90-minutes of open networking, where you can create new relationships and get one step closer to figuring out the type of person you'll need on your team.

This event is invite-only so we can ensure to create the perfect mix of technical and non-technical people, co-founders and founding team members, and those with a startup idea and those without one. While there is no exact science for creating a founding team of a startup - let alone creating the perfect startup - our hope is that this mixer gets you one step closer.
