Catch These Podcasts Recording Live at Startup Boston Week 2026

The Podcast Stage is back at Startup Boston Week 2026 this September 14 - 18!

From conversations about marketing, hiring, and founder reputation to the psychology of work and what it really takes to scale a company, eight podcasts will be recording episodes live from SBW2026.

The Podcast Stage will be located inside the Expo Hall at Boston University and will only be running Monday, September 14 through Wednesday, September 16.

That means you can explore the Expo Hall, meet companies from across the startup ecosystem, and pull up a seat to watch some of your favorite local podcasts - or discover a new one - as they record live.

Here’s who you can catch this year:

The Psychology of Work: Why People Do What They Do | Sept 14 @ 10am - 12pm

Why do some teams thrive while others struggle, even when they have incredibly talented people?

Hosted by organizational psychologist, Harvard lecturer, and Groops founder Dr. Bobbi Wegner, The Psychology of Work explores what actually happens between people at work and how those dynamics affect team performance.

Through conversations with executives, researchers, performance psychologists, and operators, the show gets into psychological safety, trust, communication, alignment, belonging, and the other very human factors that determine what teams are capable of accomplishing together.

This isn't generic workplace advice. It's research and real-world experience you can actually put to work.

Setting the Bar | A Workbar Podcast | Sept 14 @ 12:30 - 2:30pm

Setting the Bar takes listeners behind the scenes of Boston’s business community to explore the stories, challenges, and wins of the entrepreneurs building here.

Hosted by Workbar’s Sarah and Maddie, the series mixes conversations with Boston entrepreneurs with stories from businesses across the Workbar community and keeps things fun along the way.

If you want to hear more from the people behind Boston’s companies, pull up a seat.

Market Like a Hotshot | Sept 15 @ 10am - 12pm

Market Like a Hotshot is all about cutting through the noise and getting to marketing strategies that actually help businesses grow.

Hosted by industry veterans Jeff and James, who bring more than 60 years of combined experience across marketing and IT, the show delivers actionable tips, smart strategies, and no-nonsense advice for business owners and entrepreneurs looking to scale.

Whether you're figuring out how to reach more customers or looking for a smarter approach to growth, this is one to add to your SBW agenda.

What The Frac? | Sept 15 @ 12:30 - 2:30pm

What does it actually take to scale smart?

What The Frac? brings together growth-minded founders, executives, and fractional leaders for real conversations about what’s working in business today.

From marketing and operations to leadership and growth, the show digs into the challenges companies face as they scale and the people helping them navigate those challenges.

Hired, Not Fired | Sept 15 @ 3pm - 5pm

Hiring is changing and Hired, Not Fired is changing with it.

After spending the past year helping early-career job seekers understand how to stand out and get hired, the podcast is turning the conversation toward the people on the other side of the hiring process.

The new Hired, Not Fired brings together Talent Acquisition, HR, and recruiting leaders to challenge assumptions and talk about what hiring looks like in the age of AI, especially as resumes become less reliable and human skills become even more important.

Return on Reputation | Sept 16 @ 10am - 12pm

Your reputation can be more than a nice-to-have. It can become a business asset.

Return on Reputation explores how founder-led brands earn trust, command attention, and turn expertise into what the show calls Authority Capital.

Expect conversations about brand strategy, taste, building the right audience instead of chasing vanity metrics, and the long game of creating a reputation that compounds alongside your company.

MarketingNerds | Sept 16 @ 12:30 - 2:30pm

How can startups use smarter marketing (and AI) to grow without wasting time or money?

That’s the question at the center of MarketingNerds. The podcast digs into real-world strategies for generating leads, building demand, creating content, improving conversions, and connecting marketing efforts back to measurable revenue.

Expect candid conversations about what’s working, what’s overhyped, and what founders and marketers should actually be doing next.

Cents Check | Sept 16 @ 3 - 5pm

How are startups actually built - from first principles to first checks?

Hosted by Startup Boston, Cents Check goes beyond the headlines with candid conversations featuring founders, operators, investors, and researchers shaping the future of innovation in Boston and beyond.

Expect conversations about the decisions that determine whether a company succeeds - from figuring out what to build and when to raise capital to what investors look for before writing a check, navigating uncertainty, scaling, and the lessons that come from both wins and failures.
